Preview: Chorley v Harriers

ANDRE BROWN insists he and his team must continue to deliver as they travel to Chorley on Saturday (3pm ko).

John Eustace’s men are back on the road this weekend on the back of last week’s 3-2 victory over Curzon Ashton.

The next challenge sees them take on Matt Jansen’s Magpies, one of many sides battling hard for a place in the end-of-season play-offs.

The young hit-man knows there can be no let-up in the team’s drive to secure three more points.

He explained ahead of the game:  “Chorley is going to be a very tough game and we have been preparing hard this week.

“Hopefully we can go and pick up the three points.

“We know what we have to do and the gaffer knows as well – it is just about us going out on the pitch and trying to deliver.”

Brown notched his ninth goal of the season in the Curzon victory last weekend but, just like the team, he himself knows its form like this that must continue if he is to keep his place in the team.

He added: “I have to try and put myself about and create stuff, and definitely have to take my chances.

“Luckily that’s what happened [last week] and I was on hand to put it in.

“[Competition] keeps us on our toes and makes us want to improve.

“If I have a couple of bad games or don’t score then someone else can come into the team so it is good competition.”

Harriers welcomed back Ryan Croasdale after injury last weekend.

The midfielder’s return means it’s just Sam Hornby and Zaine Francis-Angol who are on the sidelines.

However, both have been with the squad in training and are nearing returns that would at that stage give Eustace a full squad to choose from for the first time in a while.

Kick-off at Chorley on Saturday is at 3:00pm.
