Forest Green Rovers celebrate promotion to League 2

Our friendly match at Forest Green Rovers this coming Saturday, 29 July, has been cancelled.

Rovers are greatly concerned about the condition of the pitch at the New Lawn following a recently fixture.

A statement on the Rovers website added: “As fans who were at Saturday’s game with Bristol Rovers saw, the New Lawn saw unseasonably heavy rain before, during and after the fixture, which has taken a toll on the playing surface.”

“For the sake of its season-long condition, we’ve taken the tough decision to call off our last pre-season friendly. The game will now take place behind closed doors at an alternative ground to give both teams a good workout ahead of the season.”

Fans who have purchased tickets will be able to get a full refund by contacting Orders made online will be refunded automatically.
