Sub’s treble beats Harriers at Salford

Another forgettable day in Salford…

HARRIERS endured another afternoon to forget at Salford City as they were on the end of a 3-0 defeat on Saturday.

A hat-trick from half-time home sub Jack Redshaw was the difference between the two sides – he netted all three after the break including two in quick succession at the beginning of the half to put Harriers to bed.

That all came after Salford goalkeeper Max Crocombe kept out a Joe Ironside penalty on the stroke of half-time.

That was generally the visitors’ only concrete chance on the afternoon – Redshaw taking over with a well-taken finish on 47 minutes, duly followed after as he turned home crosses from Mani Diesuervwe  and Mike Phenix.

Harriers made changes from the bench but the best sight of goal they had in the second period was an Ngwatala drive that aired just over the target.
