HARRIERS’ deadly front three were praised for a menacing showing in Saturday’s Emirates FA Cup win over Chester at Aggborough.

The reds ran out 2-0 winners over the National League side to reach the First Round proper.

Emmnanuel Sonupe struck in the first half while Joe Ironside grabbed the second, while Andre Wright also caused countless problems for the visitors in the first hour.

Their collective contribution was instrumental in securing the win for the reds – though the boss was right to point out their efforts were matched throughout the side.

“We were excellent today,” reflected Eustace after the final whistle.

“…That doesn’t come from luck, it comes from hard work…” Boss John Eustace

“I am really proud of the boys and the way we played football, it was fantastic.

“You can see the squad growing and getting better and better.

“At times through the season we have played very well but, overall over 90 minutes, I’d agree it was one of our better performances.

“The front three were fantastic today, as was the work-rate of the whole team.

“I am really pleased as Manny is on nine goals now and is doing terrifically, and it was brilliant for Joe to get the second.

“That doesn’t come from luck, it comes from hard work and the whole group today worked their socks off and were magnificent.”

Harriers now take their place in Monday night’s FA Cup draw before welcoming Spennymoor Town to Aggborough for league action next Saturday.
