Clover HR, A local human resources consultancy, formed just one year ago, has continued on its first year expansion by teaming up with local football team Kidderminster Harriers.

Clover HR, which was launched last year by Worcester-based HR expert Michael Doolin has expanded its team by taking on four new staff in its bid to grow its portfolio of business of providing fully outsourced HR support services and business change coaching.

“Clover HR is delighted to be working with Harriers. We support them locally so it’s great to be working with them also in tackling all their HR issues,” says Doolin.

“Many of the Businesses that we have met have recognised a lack of understanding in employment law and dealing and communicating effectively with staff. This is where we will be initially able to support Harriers.

Kelly Perks-Bevington, CEO at Harriers said – “ We recognise the value of excellent quality advice and teamwork, so it was an easy decision to place our HR agenda in the capable of Clover HR. We look forward to working with Michael and the team”

“Early clients have ranged from candlemakers in Herefordshire to shed builders in Worcester, but the business is growing at a rate that we would never have predicted in this first 12 months.

“We have now 20 registered clients where we deliver an external HR service, on fixed retainers, and have ambitions to double this over the next 12 months.”

Doolin boasts more than 30 years of experience in HR, having worked in senior roles for a variety of blue chip firms, including British Airways, PWC, DHL, DPD and Ford Motor Company.

His next ambition is for Clover HR to turnover more than £150,000 in the next financial year, and it has recruited experienced local Kidderminster area HR professionals Jenny Riley and Jane Tricketts as Service Delivery Consultants to support this next phase of development.

The business is also now operating from offices in St Pauls Square in Birmingham and on Friar Street in Worcester.

“However, it’s not just about the business investment. We’re committed to supporting our local community by investing in sporting and arts projects, particularly those that benefit young people.”
