Ashley Chambers knows only too well that there’s a difficult day in store for Harriers at Stourbridge on Saturday.
The Reds put a solid start to the league season on hold as they travel to the War Memorial Ground to meet the Glassboys.
The tie will decide who makes it through to the final Qualifying Round of the Emirates FA Cup, with Harriers dispatching Atherstone Town 5-0 at the previous stage while Stourbridge were beating Leamington.
It will be a first competitive trip to Stourbridge for Harriers since a double visit in 2015, when FA Cup and FA Trophy defeats in quick succession left the team down and out.
Chambers knows this means it’s a tough ask in store this weekend but admits it’s a tie the team are looking forward to.
He said: “I have heard the history between the club and previous results, so we know it is not going to be an easy task.
“We’ll be preparing as we would for a normal league game and we’ll be going there with only one intention and that’s to get into the next round of the FA Cup.
“We are looking forward to it [but] there is a lot of work to do.”
