Neil MacFarlane hailed his team’s performance with ten men as they came from behind to beat Hereford on New Year’s Day.

Harriers found themselves a goal down against the Bulls but responded within seconds to level through Kane Richards.

While Ryan Johnson was dismissed, Harriers dominated the game and surged ahead in sensational style thanks to a Declan Weeks rocket.

That enabled Harriers to hold on and defend to see out a richly-deserved three points that left the manager a happy man.

“I was elated with the performance,” said MacFarlane after the game.

“To go 60 minutes or so with ten men and to put in that type of display was fantastic.

“They were a real credit to themselves and I couldn’t be happier…” Neil MacFarlane

“The boys, to a man, was fantastic. The boys, to a man, gave everything for this football club and that’s all I ask.

“They were a real credit to themselves and I couldn’t be happier for them to see it out, and it was thoroughly deserved in the end.”

The boss went on to add a note of praise to the Aggborough supporters, saying: “The players should be really proud of themselves, and so should the supporters.

“I thought they were unbelievable with how they backed them.

“They realised the situation but stuck with them the whole game, and that mirrored what I’ve seen on the pitch.”
