Report from the semi-final...

A DOMINANT young Harriers side made comfortable progress to the Worcestershire Senior Cup Final with a 3-0 victory at Evesham United.

A goal from George Taylor and Jordan Murphy's brace echoed a sound performance from the youngsters, with Harriers now set to meet Redditch United at Bromsgrove on Saturday afternoon.

The visitors had to be on their guard as early as the second minute here as Evesham striker Fahy warmed the hands of Jono Brown from outside the area but, with an amount of assurance, it was Harriers who took the lead with a dozen on the clock; neat work by Jordan Murphy seeing him cross the ball at the by-line to George Taylor who tapped into the net from close range.

Before the midway point of the half the lead was doubled and this time Murphy was the scorer; beating the offside trap as the ball came through to him before drawing the goalkeeper and slotting it past him, into the bottom corner of the net.

Lance Smith and Fahy both then tested Brown and forced good saves from him before the break, but it was Murphy who was again on target with less than 50 seconds gone in the second period; his ice-cool finish bending the ball beyond Kevin Sawyer from around ten yards.

With less than 20 to play the home side had a fine chance to register on the score sheet as they were awarded a penalty; Nick Stanley stepped up to do the 12-yard duty but found Brown in fine form as he saved not only the initial effort, but the follow up as well.

HARRIERS: Brown, Smith, Hancocks, Forsyth, Trialist, Tunnicliffe, Taylor, Trialist, Trialist, Trialist, Murphy.
