Reaction from Bower Fold

Boss John Eustace lamented a frustrating night for Harriers at Stalybridge as his side went down by a single goal at Bower Fold.

A second-half effort from Danny Pilkington was all that separated two battling sides on the night, with the relegation strugglers doing enough to secure a second huge win on their own patch in the space of a few days.

The reds had their share of chances during the game to have taken at least a share of the spoils, but ultimately, must go back to Aggborough empty handed as they look towards the Good Friday visit of Boston United.

Speaking after the game Eustace commented: “We’re obviously really disappointed with the result.

“It was a tough game and fair play to Stalybridge, they’ve won it and we have to move on.

“Goals change games and we had chances to score but didn’t.

“It’s ended up a really frustrating night.

“We made a poor decision for the foul [for the free kick] and it looked like it went straight in – it was a really disappointing goal on our part.

“We’ve got to move on – we have a big game on Friday now and we can’t be too disappointed… there’s a lot of football still to play and we’re in a good position in the league.”
