Compensation fee set for defender...

Representatives from Kidderminster Harriers and Hednesford Town met at an FA Tribunal at Wembley Stadium in London on Thursday.

The Tribunal was arranged to settle the matter of the transfer to Harriers from Hednesford of defender Cheyenne Dunkley in the summer, with the player’s former club owed a compensation fee due to his age.

The ruling from today’s Tribunal is such that Harriers shall make an immediate payment to Hednesford of £5,000.

Hednesford will be paid a further £1,000 when the player has made ten appearances for the Harriers first-team, and an additional £1,000 after 20 appearances.

The deal will also include a 30% ‘selll-on’; payable to Hednesford should Harriers transfer the player for a fee in future.

Chairman Mark Serrell commented: “I think the outcome is a satisfactory one for us as a football club – the ruling reflects quite closely on our own valuation of the player at this point in time.”
