Goalkeeper signs for Harriers...

Harriers have completed the signing of experienced goalkeeper Nathan Vaughan on a one-year deal.

The former Evesham United and Romulus man, who played twice for Harriers on non-contract terms last season, was part of the side who took on Walsall in Tuesday’s pre-season friendly game at Aggborough.

The 30 year-old lists Plymouth and Newport among his previous clubs, and takes his place in the Harriers squad with boss Steve Burr commenting: “We’re quite fortunate to have someone with Nathan’s experience.

“He is quite similar to Tony Breeden in the sense that he has played an awful lot of games at non-league level.

“We have taken a look at a number of goalkeepers in pre-season but none of them really gave us the feeling that they’d push Danny Lewis in the way we’d like, whether they were too young perhaps some other reason.

“Nathan is someone we feel who will come in and do that so we’re glad to have agreed a deal to bring him in.”
