Heavy Defeat for Fans
Harriers Fans Team 0-7 West Bromwich Albion supporters (Boing FC)
After eight consecutive away games the Harriers finally returned to their home ground at Lea Castle for a hastily arranged game against local neighbours West Brom.
A depleted Harriers side were looking to give a better account of themselves following a 4-1 defeat away earlier in the season against a strong Albion side. The supporters side though were soon wishing they hadn't returned home.
The Harriers handed a debut to Ashley Jarvis as well as a return for a 'new' streamline Mike Cooper. Amongst the players missing were Sam 'sweetie' Flory, Pete 'im innocent' Lewis and Dave 'freebie' Williams to give the side a very youthful look.
Kiddy started the game slowly though and despite working hard soon found themselves a goal down after a free header at the far post. It was soon became clear that Harriers had they work cut out as the Albion's slick passing game caused numerous problems for a makeshift defence. Two more goals followed before the break to give the Albion a comfortable 3-0 half time lead.
Despite a change in formation and personal the second half was much the same as the first as the Albion opened up the Harriers defence with ease time and time again. Albion added another four in the second half in a dissapointing performance by Kiddy.
It was the first home defeat of the season for the Harriers against a classy team who proved just why they are top of the IFA league.
Kiddy will look to get back to winning ways at Weymouth this Saturday and complete the double over the team from Dorset.
