Once again, donations from Kidderminster Harriers supporters have helped to give the club a financial boost.

This coming week, the club are due to receive another sizable cheque from supporters groups and initiatives to help fund, among other things, the current online scouting system used by team management.

Funds from the popular Sponsor a Goal Scheme, Red Army Fund, the Saturday Fans' Football team and their travel club have been combined to provide this much-needed boost for Harriers' funds.

We caught up with an appreciative boss Mark Yates today, who told harriers.co.uk: "Myself and my staff are very grateful for these donations.

"The scouting system we use at the moment is an invaluable tool to us and the money we get from supporters through these excellent initiatives helps us cover the costs and we certainly do appreciate it."

The Red Army Fund and Goal Sponsorship schemes have proved a big hit with supporters over the past couple of seasons, with previous donations from the scheme going to fund a range of things from minor stadium repairs at Aggborough, previous scouting systems, as well as of course being a timely supplemental boost to the playing budget.

* The Sponsor a Goal Scheme gives supporters the chance to pledge money for each and every time the boys find the back of the net in first-team action during the season. Whether it's 10p, £1 or any other amount it's a great way to have support the club in such a crucial way whilst enjoying the goals!
