The Kidderminster Harriers Supporters Team (KHIST) were dealt a rare defeat this weekend, as they were beaten 3-0 at home by Shrewsbury Town's Supporters.
Caretaker manager Adam Matthews had a large squad to choose from in what was only Harriers' second home game of the season, but despite the extra quality in the ranks, the visitors shot into an 2-0 lead inside eight minutes to which the home side never managed to recover.
Chances were few and far between for the hosts in the first period, but after a number of half-time changes, Dave Greaves, Pete Lewis and debutant Chris Bannister all went close to getting Harriers back into the game.
But the killer third goal came midway through the second half and the impressive Shropshire side held out to keep a clean sheet before heading back to watch their first team take on Luton Town.
The KHIST side will be hoping to get their season back on track when they entertain Cambridge United at Cookley on Saturday morning, kick off 10.30am, before the the FA Cup First Round clash in the afternoon.
