Harriers Community Scheme are launching their first Skill Centre for 5 to 11 year olds to be held in Worcestershire.
The courses will operate at Baxter College on Wednesdays, 5-6pm, starting on Wednesday 3rd June.
FA skills centres operate throughout the Country in various regions but as yet have not come to Worcestershire. Harriers have taken that lead and will adopt the principles laid down laid down in the age appropriate training.
Players are encouraged to experiment and develop their skills, working towards bronze, silver and gold awards that will help their development as players. Harriers now have a structure where a 5 year old can join and continue their playing career right the way through to adult football. It is hoped that one day we can dvelop a player all the way through into the Harriers first team.
The Centre will adopt the new FA philosophy designed to understand the needs of young players with the revolutionary player centred approach. Harriers coaches have undertaken the FA Age Appropriate Skills training and will now be looking to run the centre for 8 weeks.
Anyone wishing to attend should contact the Community Scheme on 01562 863821.
