These notes appear as printed in the match programme against Salisbury on Sat, 23 February 2008.

I'D like to begin first of all by welcoming everyone to today's match, and extending a huge thank-you to all of our supporters for their backing this season.

I fully understand that this season has been a disappointing one for you the supporters, and also frustrating. Rest assured that it's every bit as frustrating for me, the board of directors and everyone down to the management and the players, as we all feel we've underachieved this season.

Looking back at the business we did in the summer, we all fully believed that we had assembled a squad that was going to give us a great chance of getting promotion back to the league, and the bookmakers agreed by making us fourth or fifth favourites to go up. We have to be honest and acknowledge that it looks like it won't be happening for us this season, though this is certainly not through a lack of hard work and commitment from everyone here. Nor does it mean that we're closing the door on the rest of the season, either, as we still have a lot of games to play in the league and want to finish as high as possible in the table. We're still involved in the Setanta Shield and are hoping to do well in that, too.

We held a Fans' Forum in the Aggborough Suite just over a week ago, and I'd like to thank all the supporters who turned up to the event and put questions to us that, I hope you'll agree, we answered as openly and honestly as we could. The departure of some of our players in January obviously caused some concerns for fans but, as was said at the Forum, all the decisions that were made by Mark along with us were for the best interests of the club, and we think we completed some very good business with the players we've brought in, who all look promising.

As I did last Friday, I'd like to make clear to supporters that myself and my Board of Directors are always available to listen to any opinions, ideas or questions that you, our supporters might have. We're always approachable on any match day and don't hide away, so if you have an idea you think could benefit the club then never hesitate to get in touch with us.

Last week I had a chance to meet with Jeremy Hunt, who is the Conservative's Shadow Secretary for Culture, Sport and Media. Jeremy was keen to hear about our thoughts on getting more youngsters involved in the game and this is something we've been working very hard on this season. Hopefully we'll be able to reveal details of a Youth Team we're working with our Community Scheme on to have in place for next season.

Today we play Salisbury City in the Blue Square Premier before going on to face Rushden in the Shield on Tuesday night here. I'd like to ask you all to keep getting behind us, Mark and the team as we try and finish the season as strongly as possible. We've got a squad of players we're hoping to build upon for next season and just as Mark and his management staff will continue to work hard with them on the pitch, myself and the Board will keep on working hard behind the scenes for this club. We feel Kidderminster Harriers will thrive best in control of people who know it, love it and have it completely at heart, and that's what we have at the moment.

Thank you again for all of your support, it's been a difficult season but each and every one of you makes a difference.

Barry Norgrove
Chairman

FOLLOWING the Fans' Forum recently, the club were delighted to welcome it's youngest shareholder. Emily Davies is someone I'm sure most of you will know; she's here at every home game and follows the team every week on the road. She purchased £100 worth of shares in Kidderminster Harriers and I'm sure you'll agree this is an absolutely fantastic commitment from one of our great supporters and we hope she isn't the last.
