Harriers Do Deals for Four
Kidderminster Harriers are pleased to confirm that they have today concluded deals to sign four new players.
Following discussions with Mark Yates this week, Martin Riley, Martin Brittain, Sam Foley and David McDermott have all signed contracts at Aggborough this afternoon.
The quartet have all spent the last month on trial with Harriers and put pen to paper having impressed with their pre-season efforts.
McDermott, 20, joins having been released by Walsall at the end of last season.
He impressed at Youth & Reserve levels at the Banks's Stadium before making his first-team debut in 2004 at the age of just 16.
The attacking midfielder made 13 League One appearances for the Saddlers last term and pens a one-year contract.
Winger Brittain is another to arrive at Aggborough with real footballing pedigree, having come through the Youth ranks at Newcastle United before breaking into the first team.
The 23 year-old has also featured for Ipswich, Yeovil and Walsall and has impressed supporters in pre-season with some deadly deliveries from wide areas and set-pieces.
Riley, 19, is a tall, commanding central defender who was handed a first team squad number with Wolverhampton Wanderers last term after coming up through the ranks at Molineux, initially joining as a 13 year-old.
He has England U20 honours and also spent time with Shrewsbury Town last season.
Meanwhile, 21 year-old midfielder Foley joins after being released by League One outfit Cheltenham Town.
Brittain and Foley have signed on for one year at Aggborough, with Riley agreeing a short-term contract.
