Gaffer Ready for Benefit Game

Posted on: Wed 06 Aug 2008

Mark Yates and Neil Howarth will this Sunday be turning out for their former Cheltenham Town team mate Lee Williams in a special benefit game for the former England Youth International.

The ex-Aston Villa, Peterborough, Tranmere and Mansfield player suffered a serious eye injury last year which has affected his ability to work.

The game will be staged by Williams' most recent club Rushall Olympic at their Dales Lane ground.

Yates and Howarth will be joined by the likes of Julian Alsop and John Brough - all former team-mates of Williams - as a Midland All-Star XI take on a Lee Williams XI.

The game kicks-off at 2:00pm on Sunday, with admission prices at £5 for adults. U12s are free if accompanied by an adult.
