KEEPER: Coleman Signs On
Harriers can confirm that goalkeeper Dean Coleman has penned a new one-year deal with the club, whilst physio Pete Dugmore has left Aggborough.
23 year-old former Walsall stopper Coleman joined the club in the summer of 2007 but was made to wait until the end of the 07/08 season before getting a run in the first team.
His form helped the team finished strongly that campaign, and although the outstanding form of Adam Bartlett between the sticks for Harriers last term left his chances restricted, it's clear he's ready to stake a claim for a regular berth at Aggborough.
Speaking to harriers.co.uk about the signing today, assistant boss Neil Howarth explained: "Dean has been extremely patient waiting for his chance over the last couple of seasons and it's safe to say he wasn't prepared to stay on strictly to be an understudy for next season.
"There were clubs prepared to offer him the number one shirt and if he plays like we know he can then there's no reason why he couldn't make that his own here."
Harriers are also close to appointing a new team physiotherapist - Peter Dugmore has left his post at the club to take up a position within the RAF.
Howarth added: "Pete was excellent for us last season but he was doing a lot of travelling which was tough for him - he's leaving for an excellent opportunity and we wish him all the best."
