BOSS: Duo Keen to Do Well

Posted on: Mon 20 Jul 2009

Harriers' chief Mark Yates spoke highly of his two newest additions as he sat down with your official website to give his thoughts on winger Kyle Hadley and defender Duane Courtney.

The pair have both signed one-year deals at the club and take their places in the Harriers squad for the new Blue Square Premier season that gets underway in less than three weeks.

"They've come in, worked hard and shown a massive desire to be here - as have others - but for now, they've done enough for me to want them to be part of what we're doing," boss Yates told harriers.co.uk

"Kyle is raw, quick and whips a great ball in - he could be anything, and he'll be a surprise element for a few.

"He's come from lower down but he's shown he's got decent ability and we'll keep working at him and improving him because so many of the raw materials are there.

"Duane is a lad Neil and I both know - he's quick, he can play anywhere across the back-four, he's athletic, strong and has a good throw on him.

"He's infectious - you only have to meet him to tell he's desperate to do well and is desperate for a chance; he's a good solid performer."

Yates went on to add of the pair: "They're both enthusiastic and we need players who play with that enthusiasm and with a smile on their face.

"We want players who are eager to learn and keen to do very well for this club and these two are exactly that."
