Winger David McDermott is set to go out loan for a month to Zamaretto Premier Division side Halesowen Town, your official website can reveal.
The lively winger had started the season at Aggborough as a regular fixture in the team until a serious illness late last year robbed him of several months of his career.
After two stints in hospital, we're pleased to say that the local lad has recovered and has been back in training with the squad for a couple of weeks.
Understandably the next stage in his rehabilitation is some first-team football, so 'Macca' is set to spend the next month out on loan at a Halesowen side going great guns in the Zamaretto Premier.
Speaking to harriers.co.uk, manager Steve Burr said: "The lad has had a serious illness which, thankfully, he's now over.
"I've sat down with Dave and I've said that he's done well in training but the time has come for him to get some first-team football and he is all for that.
"It's pleasing for me as a manager in terms of attitude that I have put up that suggestion and he is more than ready for it.
"He's going there in the right frame of mind and he just needs match sharpness now so hopefully he can go there and do well.
"They're a good club with a good manager and we're happy to be able to help them - we're looking forward to Dave getting fitter and stronger as the month goes on and we'll see what happens."
Former Walsall man McDermott is set to join up with his new Halesowen team mates in time for their League game at Hemel Hempstead this weekend.
