TRIBUTE: Keith Alexander

Posted on: Wed 03 Mar 2010

Harriers Manager Steve Burr has paid tribute to Macclesfield Town boss Keith Alexander, who sadly passed away today.

Town Chairman Mike Rance confirmed that the 53 year-old died this morning after collapsing at home late last night, having arrived home from the League Two side's defeat at Notts County.

The tragic news has understandably dominated all headlines in the football world today as the game comes to terms with its loss.

Harriers boss Burr told harriers.co.uk at lunchtime: "I knew Keith well and he was a top guy - the type of man that everyone in the game thought very highly of.

"He was always very helpful to me and obviously this is very sad news and a big shock."

Everyone at Kidderminster Harriers Football Club would like to send best wishes to all at Macclesfield Town and especially Keith's family and friends during this tragic time.
