Boss Steve Burr admits there are likely to be changes to his Harriers side following the weekend thumping at the hands of Stevenage as the team look to bounce back at Luton tomorrow night.
Burr oversaw his first defeat since his January arrival at the club at the weekend, and following the comprehensive reverse he has told harriers.co.uk that there will be alterations to the team ahead of the Kenilworth Road trip.
Several of them could be enforced changes - Dean Bennett, Martin Riley, Gavin Caines and Darryl Knights are all carrying knocks.
The gaffer refused to rule individuals out for definite, but will throw fitness tests their way prior to the Hatters tie.
Should they be forced to sit out the game, it would open up the door for a number of players pushing for starts.
Robbie Matthews, James Lawrie, Kyle Hadley and Tom Sharpe are just some of the names looking to edge their way into the line-up, whilst the Cup tied duo of Marc Goodfellow and Jack Byrne are back in contention after missing the weekend.
"We've picked up one or two injuries and one or two haven't trained today," Burr told us.
"It may be that other people who've been waiting patiently may now get their opportunity.
"Martin Riley is in some discomfort with a bruised toe but I'm sure he'll be okay; Darryl Knights has a tight calf and Dean Bennett is struggling.
"Gavin Caines has had an Achilles problem which has been troubling him for some time to be honest - but obviously it is hard to say at the minute - we'll have to assess all of them closer to kick-off tomorrow.
"Lads like Goodfellow and Byrne were Cup tied on Saturday but they come back into things now.
"James Lawrie and Tom Sharpe have been waiting very patiently for their chance as well so it may be that they get an opportunity to play tomorrow."
Northern Ireland striker Lawrie has had to settle for a cameo role at Aggborough since joining on loan from Port Vale - his International commitments coupled with the team's good form keeping him on the bench.
"With Saturday being our first defeat and the way we'd been playing there had been very little need to change things," adds Burr, who will speak to Port Vale about extending the youngster's initial loan period at the club when it expires later in the month.
"James understands the situation and he has trained very well."
On the possibility of handing young Byrne a debut in some capacity, he stated: "Jack has a very bright future ahead of him - it's a very difficult game for him to come into if he plays but it is all about taking your opportunities and I'm sure any of the lads who come in will take it with both hands."
