FAN THANKS: Gaffer on Supporters

Posted on: Mon 22 Mar 2010

Boss Steve Burr has thanked the 98 Harriers fans who made the lengthy trek to Stevenage Borough on Saturday.

Close to three figures from Worcester made the long journey to the Lamex Stadium to take in the FA Trophy semi-final second leg, despite a four-goal deficit from the first match of the tie.

Determined to enjoy the occasion regardless of the apparent result, the merry band danced and sang their way throughout the affair and certainly won any battle of the vocal support with their Stevenage counterparts, despite the home bunch having more than a little bit to smile about; sitting pretty at the top of the Blue Square Premier and now booked up for yet another day out at Wembley.

"I want to say a big 'thank you' to all of the fans who did go on Saturday," says Burr.

"I can understand some people not travelling, but the ones who turned out really got behind the team and it was fantastic to see so many of them there.

"It was a terrific following and our supporters certainly made more noise than theirs on the day it was really pleasing."
