NEW Kidderminster Harriers boss Stuart Watkiss has assured all Harriers fans he will leave no stone left unturned as he prepares to fight to keep Harriers in the Football League.
Watkiss met the players for the first time after training today and will take his training session tomorrow.
In a brief meeting with his squad, Watkiss revealed he expects nothing less than the best from his thread bare squad.
"I've told them that as far as I'm concerned the season starts again from today. I'm well aware of the mood in and around the club isn't the best at the moment, that's only to be expected considering the league position we find ourselves in.
"But that has to stop. I've told the players the very least I expect from them is 100% effort and commitment every time they pull on a red shirt. Players are only human and they will make mistakes, but we can work on that.
"However I want every single player to be able to look me in the eye after a game and be confident they gave their best.
"Anybody who doesn't give me that won't be here very long.
"I can't promise we'll ever be a 'Real Madrid', but they will ultimately get is a well-organised side who will try and play football the right way. But first we have to start getting results."
Watkiss also said the fans can play a massive part in helping the side pull away from the relegation zone.
"Fans work extremely hard to pay good money to come and watch their side, they want to watch a decent side and that is only to be expected.
"I don't think even they realise the effect they can have how well the side does or doesn't perform. Hopefully we can get a decent crowd here for our next home match against Rochdale and they can play their in helping us turn things around."
