HARRIERS' newest recruit Gary Birch has signalled his intentions to 'do some damage' for the club ahead of his debut in this weekend's derby with Cheltenham Town.
Birch, signed from Walsall on a free transfer earlier today, is set to make his debut for Harriers at Whaddon Road at the weekend - a game he is relishing.
"I've had the chance to play Cheltenham at their ground in the LDV Trophy this season and they gave us a good game", he said.
"I'm looking forward to it and I know how much it'll mean for the club's fans as a local derby - It'll be my debut and I'll be looking to do some damage!
"I nearly came here a couple of years ago when Ian Britton was manager but it didn't quite happen - I'm here now though and I'm looking to the future.
"I'm strong and physical and I can score goals; if I can do well hopefully I can be a hit here. I've scored goals in pre-season games here so hopefully I can be on the other end of it now, scoring goals for Kidderminster."
Birch is the latest player to arrive under the Stuart Watkiss' revolution at the club, and it was the former Mansfield boss' mentality that appealed to the young striker.
"We're at the foot of the division at the moment but the only way is up.
"This is a fantastic club and Stuart Watkiss was a major part in my decision to come here."
