KIDDERMINSTER Harriers' have further bolstered their defence ahead of the trip to Cheltenham by signing Reading youngster Johnny Mullins on loan until the end of the season.

The 19 year old, who has just recently signed professional terms with the Championship side, can play centre half, right back, as well as the centre of midfield.

Mullins comes to Aggborough has a hugely talented youngster, having played as a key part of the reserve side that won the League and Cup double last season. He goes straight into the squad ahead of tomorrow's derby clash with Cheltenham Town at Whaddon Road.

"Johnny is a promising player and comes to us very highly rated by Reading," said boss Stuart Watkiss.

"We've been operating without a dedicated right-back for some time now, and whilst Lee Jenkins and Chris McHale have both played there and done a good job for us, neither of them were naturally suited to the position."
