Mark Yates - Manager
MARK YATES - MANAGER
Mark Yates was appointed Manager back in January 2006, and he very quickly began to produce the goods by steering the club away from any relegation danger at the end of the 2005/06 season.
The former Cheltenham Town and Birmingham City man went through an extensive re-build of the Kidderminster squad in the summer of 2006 in preparation for his first full-season in charge, and after a difficult start began to show what he was made of as he picked up two consecutive Conference Manager of the Month awards as his side went on a 13-game unbeaten run.
Formerly a Harriers' Captain, Yates took the club to one of the biggest occasions in non-league football history - the 2007 FA Trophy Final. The first-ever cup final and club game to be played at the new Wembley was watched by 53,000 fans.
He was rewarded with a new two-year contract and oversaw a 13th-place finish in the Blue Square Premier last season, but with the side finishing as one of the in-form outfits of the division, there is extra optimism around Aggborough with Yates at the helm for 2008/09.
