Weymouth took full advantage of a Harriers side that barely managed to emerge from the dressing room at half-time to record a 2-0 victory at Aggborough, a day with little, if no positives for the home side.
Ashley Vickers and Gavin McCallum scored two goals in seven second-half minutes with absolute ease to hand Jason Tindall's a victory that never looked in doubt from the start of the second half. It was once again in sharp contrast to the first half, where Harriers, as at Histon, looked largely the better outfit.
It was a much-changed squad that was put to the task of tackling the Terras, Jon Munday and Andy Ferrell were restored to the starting XI whilst Matthew Barnes-Homer was handed his first start of the season with James Constable out injured.
Within the first six minutes, Barnes-Homer could have had his second goal in as many games as he broke free into a great position. With just one Weymouth defender and the goalkeeper in front of him, the youngster raced down on goal but lost control just as he shaped to shoot and the visitors were able to clear the danger.

BLACKWOOD: Midfielder wins this battle for the ball
As mentioned, Harriers had the best of the chances in the opening period and as the half wore on, Jonny Harkness had a free-kick held well whilst Justin Richards headed over. Three minutes past the half-hour, a lovely moved opened up Weymouth and thus the scoring, Richards and Russell Penn combined to set Barnes-Homer away, the former Walsall striker sent a good curling effort just wide.
Nick Critteneden kept the hosts alert as he kept Munday at bay long enough to force Chris MacKenzie into a decent save, Harkness ended the half by going close with another well-struck free-kick that saw Jon Stewart pull off a fine stop.
For whatever reason, despite being on top in the first-half, Mark Yates' men just didn't come out for the second half. Weymouth were given too much space at the wrong times and five minutes into the half, McCallum drew a superb stop from MacKenzie after beating the offside trap.
Three minutes later and the Terras had the lead. Conceding from set-plays is an annoyance for any manager but Yates will certainly not be happy that VICKERS was able to poke home the opener at close-range from a corner.

RARE START: Defender Jon Munday performed well against Terras
Worse was to come - by the hour mark the lead had been doubled, and it was skipper Stuart Whitehead who was left red-faced. He was shrugged off the ball by McCALLUM on the half-way mark who was able to make the run down on goal all by himself with no one else back, before slotting a powerful finish underneath the goalkeeper.
Ten minutes later it could have been three as McCallum was left free in the area to turn and shoot, thankfully for Harriers this effort went wide. The hosts always looked to go forward but just lacked any real penetration, even the presence of Iyseden Christie did little to rattle the settled Terras, who had Paolo Vernazza dismissed eight minutes from time for his second bookable offence.
A break from league action after the last two results and recent performances may come as something of a relief, but it'll be no holiday for anyone inside Aggborough as Vauxhall Motors come to town for a Cup contest next weekend.
