Kidderminster Harriers picked up a precious victory in sensational style at Aggborough, hammering strugglers Stafford 6-0 to record their biggest win of the season, and in 12 years.
It was as if Harriers got out all of the frustrations from the last month or two out in one game, and poor Rangers were on the receiving end of a dominant performance.
The ball failed to so much as leave the Stafford half for the first 15 minutes of the game, and the scores could have been opened as early as the eighth minute, had Simon Russell's cross not eluded Iyseden Christie at the far post.
Neither player would be denied, though, as we'd later find out. But it was a Man of the Match performance from youngster Darryl Knights that really lit up Aggborough - he broke the deadlock in the 15th minute.
After relenting pressure from the home side, KNIGHTS was presented with the ball some 30 yards from goal. He took a touch before taking a look up and drilling a superb finish from about five yards further in, past the helpless palm of Danny Alcock.
Six minutes later it was two, and the football was just sublime - full of confidence from his goal against Aldershot at the weekend, Matthew Barnes-Homer held the ball up fantastically well on the edge of the area until the cavalry arrived in the shape of CHRISTIE, who met the youngster's cross with a bullet header.
Stafford looked traumatised as Harriers turned the screw and made it 3-0 five minutes later, a ball up the field presented Knights with the perfect chance to run at his man - and run he did. He got the ball to the edge of the area before slipping a great pass inside to the onrushing RUSSELL who teased Alcock before dispatching a cool finish.
Barnes-Homer was clearly in the mood for a goal, and it looked like he might get it as he fired against the side netting on the half-hour mark and then went close with an audacious lob about 60 seconds later.
Perseverance paid off, though, and when Christie was brought down in the box by Alcock and awarded a penalty nine minutes before the break, BARNES-HOMER stepped up and sent the shot-stopper the wrong way from the spot.

You could be forgiven for thinking Harriers might take their foot off the pedal when the second period got underway but that wasn't the case, as five minutes past the re-start Russell went close with a curled effort from the edge of the box.
Two minutes shy of the hour and it was 5-0; it was again great work from Knights as he danced down the line to the edge of the area, drawing out Alcock. The Yeovil Town man knew just how long to wait and simply crossed for CHRISTIE to tap into the unguarded net and get his second for the evening.
Eight minutes later, Russell Penn almost got in on the act as his effort from inside the box went inches wide - Richie Sutton had a rare shot for the visitors six minutes later, almost out of frustration lashing from more than 30 yards, though his effort went wide.
With the game deep into three minutes of injury time there was still time for Russell to double his own tally for the night and make it six for Harriers- teasing the Stafford defence inside the box before firing around the legs of Alcock and into the back of the net.
Less than 1,200 home fans were at Aggborough tonight but those that were there will take home a performance worth savouring - Harriers have the chance to back up the resounding victory as Grays come to town in the BSP this Saturday (3.00pm)
* As announced tonight, Harriers will send a reserve side to meet AFC Telford on Thursday night, 7.45pm kick-off.
