It was a return to winning ways and a return to some breathtaking football from Kidderminster Harriers as they became the only side this season to do a league double over Burton, thanks to a 4-1 win at Aggborough.

Darryl Knights was restored to the starting line-up and duly repaid the faith with a fantastic brace - after a tense opening ten minutes or so, it was he who opened the scoring. 18 minutes had passed before the hard-working Matthew Barnes-Homer chased down yet another lost cause near the corner flag - coming out on top and forcing a good save from Kevin Poole from a tight angle; the ball looped up for KNIGHTS to head home.

Two minutes later the visitor's top goal scorer Daryl Clare went close with a free-kick; he got the ball up and over the wall but Dean Coleman - who was solid throughout the night - held well.

Within a minute Harriers were two-up, as Burton had no answer to Barnes-Homer's pace. His blistering right-wing run went unchallenged and he slipped in a deadly ball along the face of goal with Iyseden CHRISTIE at the far post ready to pounce for his 18th of the season (pictured).

Former Harrier John McGrath had Albion's first real good chance of the night shortly after - he wriggled free into a good position but mis-hit his shot and sent the ball wide.

Just a few minutes before the break, the home faithful were on their feet again as Knights grabbed his second. Possibly the move of the game saw Penn drive a wonder of a pass towards goal that Christie so cheekily stepped-over, leaving Knights in on goal to blast past Poole.

The visitors game out brighter in the second half but only really had Keith Gilroy's scuffed 55th minute shot to cling to, whilst at the other end Harriers were doing their best to make it four.

After being continually denied by the offside flag, the front-line finally beat it again as the industrious Barnes-Homer raced through on goal on 70 minutes. His shot was good but flew just over the bar.

Six minutes later, Burton pulled back a consolation, but a great one. Michael Simpson's weighted pass found Shaun Harrad who gave Coleman no chance for 3-1.

But the three-goal advantage for the home side was restored in the final minute of normal time as Gavin Hurren headed home Knights' corner, after Knights himself had been denied a hat-trick by a wonderful save from Poole. It was a fitting way to mark Hurren's 100th appearance for the club, with Harriers' goal difference now at +20.
