Boss Mark Yates continues to be pleased as he watches his Harriers side continue to improve as pre-season heats up to its climax.
The boys notched a seventh game unbeaten with a win over Worcester on Tuesday evening, in a match of real spirit.
Speaking after the clash, he admitted he's enjoying getting into a rhythm of wining matches.
"It was a really good exercise, Worcester are a useful side who passed it about and their system is difficult to play against at times," he said.
"Winning games is a good habit to get into. It wouldn't had mattered had we drawn 1-1 today, but we were the better team and it's nice to win and get bragging rights over whoever - I thought with did well - we knocked it about well."
'Improving' is becoming something of a buzz word for Harriers at the moment but anyone attending these friendly games will surely agree that this is for good reason.
Last night it was the turn of youth team tough-tackler Nathan Hayward to shine, with Yates adding: "I thought Nathan was superb in particular. To be seventeen and have an influence like that in a game like that, he can be proud of himself.
"We have a decent bunch here. We aren't getting carried away and there's plenty to work on and plenty to improve on but we have a group with us who want to keep improving."
Pressed for his thoughts on premature press reports claiming ex-Cheltenham man John Finnigan had signed for the club, the Aggborough chief insisted no deal had been done just yet, going on to say: "Touch wood, tomorrow we'll secure his services."
