Steve Burr was pleased with the work-rate of his Harriers side as they continue to impress with the brand new Blue Square Bet Premier season approaching on the back of a 1-0 win against Burton Albion.
Burr was able to give 90 minutes on the pitch to a number of his squad against the League Two side this afternoon and they along with those heading off and coming on put in a real shift.
The Pirelli Stadium outfit presented Harriers with a test that will much more closely match what Burr's charges will encounter on a regular basis in 2010/11 - and so the boss was pleased to have chalked up another victory.
Speaking after the game her said: "It was another really good work-out for our lads today - Burton have had the experience of a season in the League and they looked strong.
"But the lads worked really hard today, as a group, and I was really pleased with the work-out again.
"The likes of Burton are going to be more of what you're accustomed to when you come into the Conference and the teams you play in that division.
"The fixture was a good test for us and it is more of what we'll be up against week in, week out."

The game was settled by a penalty from summer signing Tom Shaw who continues to catch the eye following his switch from Tamworth.
Shaw filled in at right-back today with Lee Vaughan missing out on a starting berth - just as he will do for the opening four games of the season proper.
So in testing for alternatives, it appears Harriers could possibly have the answer - Burr adding: "With Shaun Harrad and Greg Person Burton have got a lot of movement and I was pleased, when you look at Briscoe, Sharpe and Williams.
"Tom Shaw has gone in there to do a job for us and we may have to look at him at right-back while Lee Vaughan is missing because he was tremendous there.
"With having a small squad we have got one or two who you can put in to different positions and get a performance."
