Harriers complete pre-season tomorrow with a trip to Southern League, Premier Division side Hednesford Town, (3:00pm)
Victory in the final tie before the side make the long trek up to York for the start of the Blue Square Bet Premier season in a weeks' time would complete a marvelous turn-around of fortunes in the closed season for the men at Aggborough.
A newly-assembled squad of contracted and trial players got off to a shaky start at both ends of the pitch - defeats to Solihull and Nuneaton among the early summer ties.
But things have sharpened up - and tightened up - with marked improvements in performance steering the boys to five straight wins, including successes over the likes of Burton Albion and Crewe.
Results of course count for very little, but performances mean a lot - so understandably Harriers will not be looking to take their foot off the gas at Keys Park tomorrow.
Speaking ahead of the game, assistant boss Gary Whild said: "Saturday will be something different, we're away from home so again there's a test there for the lads.
"We aren't getting carried away, there is a lot of work to be done but at the moment things are improving on a weekly basis, so it will be good to see how Saturday comes along."
Harriers are set to welcome back a number of the faces who were rested from the start for the thumping of Crewe on Monday night.
Skipper Keith Briggs, front man Lee Morris and goalkeeper Daniel Lewis are all among those set to be given the nod.
