Lively local-lad McDermott first joined Harriers in the summer of 2008 after leaving Walsall and made 29 appearances for the club in 2008/09, scoring once.
The chance to play some first-team football has clearly benefited McDermott, who was left frustrated by a record of 12 appearances across three seasons whilst with the Saddlers.
Blessed with great pace and an ability to beat defenders, McDermott is equally effective from the starting line-up or as an impact sub, but there's little doubting the youngster will be looking to make an even bigger impression this time around as he starts his second term at Aggborough.
