Powerhouse forward Matthew Barnes-Homer first arrived at Aggborough back in the summer of 2007 after a successful trial, and since then Harriers have seen first-hand his phenomenal development.
A raw, energetic talent, Matthew led something of a nomadic life prior to his arrival at the club, featuring throughout the English non-league circuit as well as having spells aboard. But under the guidance of boss Mark Yates he's been able to flourish - seven goals in 20 starts in 2007/08 was clearly just a sign of things to come.
Last season he established himself as one of the most formidable forwards in the division. With 21 goals to his name from open play, he thrived on the pressure as Harriers battled hard to try and reach the top-five, and after shunning the interests of several clubs to ink a new two-year deal in the summer, it's clear he's happy to try and lead that charge once again this season.
