Young midfielder Jack Byrne first joined Harriers from Redditch United in March 2010.
The 20 tough-tackling local lad had been one of United's stand-out performers since breaking through into the side in the second half of 2008/09 following a move from Stratford Town to add bite and goals to the midfield at the Valley.
Originally Byrne's deal had been til the end of last term, though after just a few short weeks he'd been signed up to a longer term deal until the end of 2010/11 owing to some strong early performances in the side including a debut at Luton Town.
