BOSS Mark Yates has promised his players an 'intensive' work-out in the fortnight ahead of the FA Trophy Final against Stevenage following yesterday's final league-day draw at Crawley Town.

Harriers had more endeavour about them at Crawley than they have in more recent weeks but they were still lacking in really quality with a make-shift side sent out to tackle the task at the Broadfield Stadium.

Over the past few weeks several players have been rested - some rests more enforced than others and it's all gearing towards a tough couple of weeks for the boys, starting tomorrow.

"The players know that performances levels are now going to have to increase and as a result training will increase but obviously at the right time," Yates said, after the 0-0 draw.

"We've got our timetable and we know when we'll be in and when we won't and what we're doing and from Monday we're going to increase things and make them a bit more intensive.

"We've given a couple of players a breather over the past few weeks but there's been a reason for it and from tomorrow the lads will find out that reason!"
