Harriers' Manager Mark Yates has issued a plea for the stay-away Kidderminster fans to turn up to future games at Aggborough as his side continue to improve.

With 15 goals in Harriers last five matches there's little doubt that Yates' troops are entertaining to watch this season.

Tonight's 3-1 win over Droylsden was the team's third successive home win after victories over Exeter and York, but just 1,289 home supporters made up the majority of tonight's gate.

And whilst Yates was quick to thank those who ventured out to Aggborough to back the boys, he's called on more supporters to come through the turnstiles, with high-flying Torquay United in Worcestershire for a league game on Saturday.

On tonight's figure, the boss commented: "That is disappointing but the crowd was about 1,300 tonight and we have to give credit to them for coming.

"But we have to get the ones who aren't coming to be here and keep them here week in, week out and the only way we can do that is by keep getting results and moving higher up the division and I'm sure more will come.

"It is an expensive business to watch football but I'd like to make a plea to fans to say that we are worth watching and there is something about us this year.

"We will score goals and we will beat teams, we want to make it attractive and build up a winning mentality."

And win is precisely what Harriers did tonight - with James' Constable's seventh goal of the season amongst the goals.

Reflecting on the performance, Yates added: "I thought we played some really good stuff tonight.

"I thought my front two were excellent, the combination play between them and the chances they created for one another was superb.

"We just had to keep going and believing. Droylsden have got some good, attacking players and we knew if we didn't defend well they'd cause us problems and I think we did well tonight."

Gavin Hurren was sent off in injury time tonight just ten minutes after coming on as a substitute.

His challenge on Ged Murphy was tough but the call to give a straight red card seemed a little harsh.

"Without having my Arsene Wenger head on, I honestly didn't see it," Yates said of the incident.

"It will be a three match ban unless the video shows any different and the referee's then prepared to have a look at it, so we'll see where we go but I didn't see it so I can't comment."
