Boss Unhappy After Snatched Victory
Mark Yates reserved all of his praise for the opposition after watching his side overcome UniBond League side Guiseley last night.
After reaching the FA Trophy Final last season, it looked like Harriers were about to join holders Stevenage in making a First Round exit, after they went behind with the home side taking a third minute lead.
A far from polished performance eventually wielded a victory and a passage through to the next round where Weymouth are waiting.
But that did little to impress Yates, who was disappointed that his side were out-done in almost every department by the Leeds-based side.
Speaking after the game, Yates said: "We didn't deserve anything, Guiseley out-played us and out-fought us, they battled superbly, played some decent football and did everything right.
"We've just got to take the positive out of the game and that's that we've been able to win, nothing else.
"We've got a bit of work to do - we can see that."
Russell Penn eventually bundled Harriers level with 77 minutes gone, before substitute Jonny Harkness perhaps robbed Guiseley a replay with a superb injury-time free-kick.
"We did roll our sleeves up and we did compete better, eventually," Yates added.
"We did try and get in behind them and play football but it was too long in coming.
"The all-important thing is that we're through to the next round but for 70 minutes it didn't look like we could hit a barn door with a banjo."
Harriers will now meet Blue Square Premier side Weymouth in the Second Round on Saturday, January 12 2008.
