Boss Reveals Altrincham Fury
Furious Manager Mark Yates has blasted his side for throwing away three points at Altrincham in the Blue Square Premier last night.
After going a goal ahead thanks to Iyseden Christie's strike and being largely in control at Moss Lane, two extremely sloppy goals saw the hosts storm ahead and hold on to a victory that saw them move out of the relegation zone.
The Manager was left to apologise to the 70 or so Harriers fans who braved the conditions to make the midweek trip.
"Altrincham weren't causing us any problems whatsoever and we caused by our own by making some mistakes," Yates said, after the game.
"The conditions were awful and that's when you have to see games out and win 1-0 and we didn't do that.
"I'd like to apologise to the supporters because it should have been a comfortable 1-0 win.
"We've taken the lead and thrown it away again."
Yates went on to add that a few stern words were had in the away changing room following the game, with Harriers' play-off hopes now looking even more faint.
"A few harsh words have been said in the dressing room because it's happened too many times," he added.
"You can't blame the pitch. Just look at our recent performances - we can't hold onto a lead."
