SEETHING Manager Mark Yates has vowed to make changes to his Kidderminster set-up after his side crashed out of the FA Trophy on Tuesday night.

Yates was left angry that poor defending twice allowed Weymouth to take the lead in normal time, Michael Malcolm grabbing a brace for the Terras.

Whilst it was ultimately the heartbreak of the penalty shoot-out that cost Harriers their place in Round Three, the boss refused to look past the lapses in concentration from his side, insisting: "The penalties are disappointing because we practised those, but that's not the reason we're out of the Trophy.

"Over the two games, the score line suggests that we haven't done enough to beat them and go through.

"We're massively disappointed; we created lots of chances but we can't keep giving goals away like we have been doing - that second goal was just comical.

"We've got to do something about it and I'll be looking to do something in the next week.

"But we are majority disappointed to be out of the trophy."

Hearts inside Aggborough had been fixated on a return to Wembley to put right the defeat to Stevenage in last season's Wembley Stadium final.

With those dreams now in tatters, Yates spelled out a warning to his squad that maximum effort is now a must between now and the end of April to make good on the side's currently slim play-off hopes.

Harriers travel to a Droylsden side beaten 5-0 by both Stevenage and Cambridge in the last few days - it seems nothing less than a win in Manchester will do for the Aggborough tactician.

He added: "My players have now got to show massive resolve and get something out of the season.

"We've got to make one hell of an effort now to get into those play-offs - that is our target.

"It's going to be hard, but I want maximum effort, commitment and quality between now and the end of the season from the players - if I get that, we'll see where we are.

"We're good enough; we just keep gifting teams ridiculous goals."
