Assistant boss Neil Howarth has said that the weekend's game against Aldershot could be the perfect tonic for Harriers' poor run of form.

The side have just one win in their last ten games in all competitions after last night's 3-1 reverse to Rushden and Diamonds, and Howarth admitted to the official website that heads dropped all too easily in the Setanta Shield clash.

As with the weekend's game against Salisbury, Harriers were easily the better side in the early going, only for things to change drastically.

Howarth told harriers.co.uk: "In the last two games we've started very well, and then minute something has gone against us, we've dropped our heads and not been able to come back when things are tough.

"We know there's talent in the squad but it's difficult when something goes wrong and you can't bounce back, especially when expectations are high, but we know we need to sort it out quickly."

Harriers head for Blue Square Premier leaders Aldershot on Saturday, and whilst some may think it's a fixture to dread for those at Aggborough, Howarth admitted it could be just what the doctor ordered.

He added: "There's no better place for us to be going, really.

"The pressure will be off and there won't be many expecting us to get a result.

"The lads might be able to relax a bit and express themselves, and we can try and play some good football and maybe we can get something out of the game."
