Poor From The Warm-Up - Yates
Harriers' Manager Mark Yates admitted that his side were sloppy from the warm-up against Altrincham after Saturday's 1-1 draw.
The home side were very slow out of the blocks against Graham Heathcote's strugglers and soon found themselves behind after just eight minutes.
They managed to get back in it just before the break but never really looked like going on to pick up all three points.
Speaking after the game, Yates hit out at some of his squad for treating the pre-match warm-up as a 'jolly-up'.
"We were sloppy in the warm up and we carried that through into the first-half in particular," said the Aggborough boss.
"We should have dealt with the goal and that just summed us up, we didn't play well and we didn't compete enough.
"We got a point out of it but it wasn't a good performance today; we didn't apply ourselves properly.
"One or two have got to learn that you can't just have a jolly-up and then come out and play a team who are fighting for their lives, and one or two of ours got sucked into that."
Yates went on to admit that he may make changes to his side ahead of Tuesday night's away tie at another side now struggling around the bottom four, Halifax.
"It's going to be a tough game - but we're better than what we've shown today," he continued.
"You've got to have the right attitude and we need to learn that we can't turn it on and off like a tap.
"If it takes something a little bit different then so be it, but we need a little bit more professionalism from one or two."
