NEIL HOWARTH praised the 'bottle' of his Kidderminster Harriers players as they came from behind to get back to winning ways against Ebbsfleet on Saturday.

Harriers struggled to get a foothold on this game prior to the arrival of sub Stefan Moore - and the visitors were well-worth their half-time lead, given to them by a 15th-minute Ricky Shakes goal.

But after Moore came on to set-up two goals in six minutes, and Matthew Barnes-Homer added a superb solo effort for a third, the home side wrapped up their first win in three games to move back into the Blue Square Premier's play-off places.

Speaking after the win, Harriers' Assistant Manager admitted: "We're obviously very pleased to have won - it was a tough game.

"To do it by coming back from a goal behind means that plenty of credit has to go to the players because they've shown a lot of bottle.

"Even for the first hour I thought we were playing well - we were putting balls across the box that were just asking to be tapped in.

"Ebbsfleet are being talked about as one of the teams who'll be up there at the end and I still think they will be.

"They sat deep in the first half and asked us to break them down and we couldn't, and they were hitting us on the break.

"But Stefan's quality was there for everyone to see - he's done really well and every credit has to go to the Chairman for allowing us to bring him here because things are tight."

Next Saturday, Harriers head to Rockingham Road to meet Kettering Town in the battle of the two early-season surprise packages.

BSP new-boys Kettering have made a strong start to life in this division, and boast among their ranks a former Harriers striker in Iyseden Christie, who netted to give Town an injury-time win this afternoon.

"We know Mark Cooper very well - he's working wonders there and I'm pleased for him," Howarth continued.

"It's going to be a tough afternoon; they have Iyseden up top who we know all about - but knowing about him and stopping him doing what he does are two different things so we know we'll have to be wary of him, but also the other good players they have.

"We'll enjoy tonight, but come Monday we'll be back in working hard towards the Kettering game."
