AN ANGRY boss Mark Yates has hit out at his Harriers side for being out-done in all areas by a dogged Kettering side in Saturday's 1-0 defeat.
Harriers slipped to a disappointing reverse at the hands of Mark Cooper's side, who now top the Blue Square Premier.
The visitors had little answer to the hosts dominating, physical approach to the game and deservedly came back to Kidderminster empty-handed, much to the disappointment of Yates who was forced to apologise to the 276 away fans.
"We got beaten up and we were second best to everything, at both ends of the pitch," fumed Yates after the game.
"We weren't good enough today, full stop.
"Credit to Kettering, they're a big, strong, organised team and we fell into the trap - I don't remember us having a shot at goal.
"I don't know what we were about today - I couldn't tell you.
"We just got out-battled, out-thought, out-run, out-tackled and out-headed by a very strong Kettering team - I apologise to our supporters."
Yates scrapped for any potential positive to take from the day's work but found very little - Harriers' effective passing game deserted them against the Poppies.
"There is not a single positive - not at all," he continued.
"If we'd kept a clean sheet and nicked a point then there would've been that crumb of comfort in it but that was majorly disappointing.
"We've got to learn, and we've got to learn quickly.
"Our decision making was poor - we couldn't string two passes together, we were awful."
