The decision to abandon last night's Blue Square Premier game at Woking was the correct one, according to Kidderminster manager Mark Yates.
Rain fell consistently and heavily throughout the afternoon and evening down in Surrey, prompting referee J. Hopkins to bring things to an end just after the hour mark with playing conditions becoming increasingly hazardous.
Speaking soon after the game, a rather damp Yates said: "It was just getting a little bit farcical and for me it was the right decision.
"We don't want injuries and you don't want to see players getting hurt.
"They'll disagree and say they wanted to play the game - fair enough, but it didn't make for a good contest.
"We were excellent in the first half. People want to see entertaining football but as I said, it was just becoming a bit farcical."
The Woking game now joins Wrexham away in the outstanding games category.
Harriers have now played up to four games less than those around them in the Blue Square Premier, but Yates admitted that it's not something they can do anything about.
"It does [make things tough] but it doesn't matter we've still got a couple of weeks where we can fit games in and we've just got to get on with it," he added.
"It's not ideal but there are teams in a lot worse a position than ours.
"It's an unbelievable set of circumstances we've had over the last couple of months with games being called off for rain, snow and frost, but you can't moan; you just have to get on with it."
