Assistant boss John Finnigan admitted that the result was the most important thing to take from Saturday as Harriers secured a narrow and late win against Forest Green Rovers at Aggborough Stadium.
The side have now lost just one in their last nine fixtures and remain unbeaten in 2010 and under new boss Steve Burr.
It was a far from perfect performance, though - and Finnigan admitted as much when he spoke to the press after the game.
But the three points keeps up Harriers' charge towards the play-offs, and this is the bottom line.
"We're delighted with the three points - not so delighted with our performance because we felt we could have played a little bit better," said the midfielder, after watching his side win thanks to Damian Spencer's late cracker.
"But the all-important thing is the result and we've got a bit of a monkey off our back I think.
"It was a superb finish [from Spencer] and it was just what we needed at that point.
"We caused them a few problems in the last ten minutes with set-pieces but it was a cracking finish for us.
"Forest Green played well - they knocked it around well and looked confident for a bottom four side.
"I think they'll go home a bit disappointed that they didn't get something out of the game."
Finnigan has been in fine form in recent weeks and put on a Man of the Match display at Aggborough with some truly special work in the middle of the park.
He added: "I had a lot more energy today and I feel as though I'm really getting to show what I can do.
"I was pleased with my performance and hopefully there's still a little bit more to come, and a few more goals as well."
