Steve Burr had few complaints about the final score as Harriers came back from Hayes & Yeading on Thursday night with a share of the spoils following a 2-2 draw at Church Lane.
Despite having four goals, a red card and a number of other points of contention, the game was some way away from being a classic and that was not something lost on the Harriers boss as he spoke to harriers.co.uk in the aftermath.
Harriers took a good 45 minutes to get going and needed goals from Chris McPhee and Martin Riley in order to twice come from behind and cancel out a double from Scott Fitzgerald, who was later sent off.
"Overall I think a point was probably about right. I don't know for the life of me how we didn't get a penalty in the second half but maybe they could have had one as well," Burr commented.
"So with the game it was - and it wasn't a spectacular by any shape, way or form - a point was the right result, it was a typical end of season affair.
"It was pretty similar to Saturday in some ways, we started the second half quite brightly but that didn't much because we really didn't create much in the first half!
Harriers were a threat in the second period and welcomed back the invention of Duane Courtney, returning after time out with both illness and injury.
Burr added: "Tom Sharpe has done a good job for us at full-back again but he's like a lot of the boys at the minute; just out on his feet.
"In that respect I suppose Duane is a little fresher as he hasn't been playing and he did give us that outlet on the right hand side. He did well for the first goal and [for the second] it was nice to see us score from a set-piece for once, so I'm pleased about that."
