Steve Burr was short and sweet in his post match comments to the press after today's 2-0 defeat to Champions Stevenage, firing a warning about the re-building job he has ahead here at Aggborough.
Borough were crowned top dogs in non-league with a 2-0 victory, goals coming from Charlie Griffin and Joel Byrom.
Afterwards, Burr's first duty was to congratulate the Lamex Stadium outfit on finally claiming their place in the Football League.
He said: "First off, I'd just like to congratulate Stevenage - since I've been back in the Blue Square Premier they have been by far the best team I have seen.
"Congratulations to Graham Westley and his side - I think we showed today that we are way short."
Borough's first goal came after just seventy seconds - after conceding an indirect free-kick inside the penalty area, a sloppy set-up at the wall made Griffin's task all too simple, much to the annoyance of the Harriers' gaffer.
"When you're playing a side at the top of the League you can't give them any favours - I was really disappointed," he continued.
"From where I was there was a big gap in the wall and to give them a start like that was diabolical - we were always chasing the game.
"Players are playing for their futures but I can see there is a lot of work to be done here in the summer.... because you saw today, coming up against a top side, we are way short."
Asked for any plus points at all to take from the penultimate home game of the season, he simply added: "The only positive from today is that we've only got a week to go - then I can start re-building things."
